Well, stop taking them! That's right, there are other, natural, safe ways to help you get the sleep you need.
Here's the story.
And here's the deal: I read. Almost every night, I read. Sometimes, if I'm really tired, I get through one page of a book. Then, I sleep. But it works... I don't toss and turn and try to find the right place...by the time I've read until I feel tired, my body AND mind are ready for sleep.
I haven't (yet) had a problem with waking up in the middle of the night -- but, if I did, I think I'd try more reading to lull me back to sleep.
Reading is a way to reduce stress and help you focus. Getting relaxed is a key to good sleep, and reading helps there, too.
